K. D. M.: Is there a legit work-from-home company that anyone can recommend?
No “all commision”. No pyramid schemes. No job boards that charge then deliver a scattering of all commision and pyramid schemes.
There may be, but I have never found one and to be honest, the amount of time sifting through the rubbish on the internet for bonefide companies is not something I’d choose to do.
Many of the schemes pay you a pittance for doing a load of work, sure there are the survey sites and if you automate the form filling by using software like Roboform or the free Imacros software you can speed up the process…but it still seems like too much work to me.
What works for me is creating my own information products which I sell from free Blogger Blogs. I use Niche marketing which means I look for specialized information which people need to solve a problem and then using free tools I create the product. You can do all of this easily for free with Google.
Another way you can sell your product is by using Ebay and burning your product to a plain CD. It doesn’t have to be anything fancy as it is the information which is important rather than the packaging.
To get the word about and to get good rankings on Google you then sign up at ezinearticles— and write an article about the product that you have created.
You can then build what is termed a linkwheel by creating free accounts at Squidoo, Hubpages, WordPress, Associated Content etc. Each of these sites will have a one way link to each other and will also point to the page you are promoting.
I have also found Twitter to be a great resource for promoting my products.
It may sound like a lot of work, but at the end of the day you will have a continuing source of income and it sure pays a lot better than any online “envelope stuffing” type job.
Give it a try…it works
